DNC Speaker Schedule 2024: The Democratic National Convention opened in Chicago on Monday. President Biden conveyed during prime time, passing the torch to Vice President Kamala Harris.

The convention organizers told nightly themes and speakers on Sunday. Michelle Obama is a retired First Lady and will speak on Tuesday.

  • Monday, “For the People”: President Biden and First Lady Jill Biden, along with retired Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, handled the audience after a warm welcome from Brandon Johnson (Chicago Mayor).
  • Tuesday, “A Bold Vision for America’s Future”: Ex-President Obama and second gentleman Doug Emhoff were greeted by Illinois Gov. JB Pritzker.
  • Wednesday, “A Fight for Our Freedoms”: Tim Walz gave his approval lecture for a vice presidential candidate, following speeches by Bill Clinton, Nancy Pelosi, and Pete Buttigieg, as per CNN.
  • Thursday, “For Our Future”: Harris accepts the nomination for president.

Other lecturers include Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer and House Democratic Leader Hakeem Jeffries.

  • Jason Carter, who is the grandson of retired President Carter, will speak for his grandfather. The ex-president wishes to live long enough to vote for Harris.

Sneak peek: The representative entrance stairs will show the quote “History Is In Your Hands” from Biden’s Oval Office address on July 24.

  • Upon arrival on Monday for Biden’s lecture, representatives will see digital signs at the United Center with notes stating: “History is in your hands” and “Spread the faith.”
