Vincent Magwenya is a broadcast journalist and an experienced and seasoned communicator. He is the Spokesperson to the current President of the Republic of South Africa, Cyril Ramaphosa. He is also the Chief Executive Officer of Conversations Media and Communications.

Education
Vincent Magwenya obtained a National Diploma in Video Technology, Communications, and Broadcasting from the Durban University of Technology.
Career
Vincent Magwenya founded the reputation management and digital marketing consultancy Conversations Media and Communications in Johannesburg.
In 2009, he became the Spokesperson for former president Jacob Zuma. He resigned in 2010 after falling victim to infighting in the President’s office.
Magwenya had clashed with a special presidential advisor, Zizi Kodwa, and the head of Zuma’s private office Lakela Kaunda.
In 2013, he became the Chief Executive Officer of the PR agency Magna Carta until 2016. He then established Conversations Media and Communications.
Vincent served as Director of Communications for Standard Bank Africa. He was also Director of Group Stakeholder Relations Management for Standard Bank Group. He has worked in various technical and editorial roles as a broadcast journalist.

President Cyril Ramaphosa appointed seasoned communicator Vincent Magwenya as his Spokesperson. Ramaphosa said Magwenya’s experience will have a positive impact on the work of the Presidency.
Magwenya served as Spokesperson for former President Jacob Zuma (2009 – 2010). He has held other positions in the private sector.
