The 16th edition of the hugely popular Varsity Cup is headed for an epic conclusion, with Shimlas schedule to host the UCT Ikeys in the grand finale later today.

STATS AND FACTS THAT MATTER:

Very little separates the sides overall, but there are certain facets of the game where one outperformed the other so far in this year’s campaign.

Shimlas have scored with more tries and points, giving them the upper-hand in attacking play. But Ikeys have conceded fewer points, meaning they have a much-better defence and are more disciplined.

With the final taking place in Bloemfontein, Shimlas will have home advantage, but the Ikeys beat them in their own backyard when they met in opening round of the competition.
