Thankgod Omori Jesam, professionally known as TG Omori, was born on the 8th of June 1995. He hails from Cross River State in the South-South region of Nigeria and was born and raised in the Agungi area in Lekki, Lagos State. 

TG Omori grew up middle class and did his primary education in Lagos and later did his secondary education at Kuramo College, Victoria Island Lagos, before going to the University of Lagos before dropping out and going on to study Performing and Media Art at Wale Adenuga’s PEFTI Film Institute in Lagos State.

TG Omori’s interest in cinematography dates back to his teenage years when he was part of his church’s drama group and was responsible for directing stage plays in his school and church. As he grew, his interest in pursuing a career in this field widened.

After graduating from film school, TG Omori worked with Red Art Group as a scriptwriter. There, he learned how to use the digital camera and the mechanics of film editing. He created YouTube content and other online platforms to polish his skills and further equip himself as a professional cinematographer. 

Before turning 20, TG was already the youngest professional filmmaker in Nigeria. Through video shooting, he made little income until he had his first big break in 2015 when he was introduced to a group that gave him a contract, which he succeeded in, and the video went viral.

Days later, he got a call to shoot a video for an upcoming artist, Minz, and was paid N700,000 to shoot the music video for Aunty Patricia, a song by Minz. His creativity grew, and words about him increased in proportion, leading him to land projects with artists like Mayorkun, Dremo, Dj ECool, and Jimmi Abduls between 2016 and 2017.

Later, he began making music videos for A-list artists like YCee, for whom he shot his My Side music video. He also shot a video for Nigerian rapper and Singer Zlatan.

In 2019, he had his major break when he shot Naira Marley’s Am I A Yahoo Boy music video. At the same time, he shot King Perry’s Murder music video.
