Crime drama series Projek Dina returns for season 3. New faces join the cast as each episode features one or two different missing person cases.
The previous seasons took viewers focused on solving crimes and investigating a syndicate. The action-packed investigation drama series also touches on the changes and challenges faced by task team members.
The season has ten episodes, and real-life South African events inspired the events. The writing team consulted Nicci Rheeder of Missing Children SA and Marcel van der Watt, who has been with many cases of missing persons as a member of SAPS.
Story
Ronel, played by Chanelle de Jager, Lux, played by Chumani Pan, and Charlie, played by Kay Smith, returns to the office. Deon, played by Tim Theron, leaves to assist with a case abroad.
Zander, who plays Laudo Liebenberg, gets hired to be incharge of the task team, operating in a highly-stressful environment. Each hour there are reports of a missing person, with the chances of finding them decreasing.
The condition taxes these officers emotionally and often affects their mental health and personal relationships. Sometimes interpersonal conflict arises among the personalities.
Even after any conflict, they join forces together anytime they reed each other. Ronel and her sister Dina reunited in season 2, but in season 3, things took a different turn, not as Ronel hoped.
Season 2 closed with Charlie and Lux finding each other in a romantic kiss. They continue their relationship in season 3 but experience setbacks.
Charlie has arrived at the state she wants to be emotionally but is healthy after a gunshot wound. Lux tries all he can to protect her, which causes friction.
As Deon leaves, the team is sad and has many questions about the strange character he hired to replace him. Deon says Zander is the detective he has ever worked with.
The question now is will the team get along with him? Is he as good as Deon says?
Season 3 has new faces like Liebenberg, Deon Coetzee, Arno Greeff, Cintaine Schutte, Frank Rautenbach, and Corine du Toit.
