We all remember the exciting news from October 2023. Orlando Pirates’ Relebohile Mofokeng was invited for trials at English Premier Leauge side Wolverhampton Wanderers.

After making his senior debut in May 2023, the 19-year-old caught the attention of Wolves.

The surprising news was confirmed by his coach, Jose Riveiro, before the Carling Knockout Cup against Cape Town Spurs.
“Riveiro on Wednesday afternoon, during the club’s Carling Knockout pre-match press conference in Parktown, Johannesburg, confirmed that the player is currently on trial at Premier League side Wolverhampton Wanderers FC,” SABC SPORT’s Nkululeko Dladla reported.

Having returned to Mzansi in November last year, the Rockville-born attacker was attacker to share the experience and the result of the trials.
According to “Rele,” the football in England is not entirely different from the local game.
The Pirates star further added that Wolves are yet to provide feedback.
“I would say there is not much of a difference [football-wise]. I didn’t get the feedback, but let’s hope for the best,” said Mofokeng via FARPost.
“But then I don’t think there is much of a difference between us, the PSL players, and the players at Wolves. But then I am just hoping for the best,” the Pirates ace concluded.
