Orlando Pirates are hoping to add more firepower to their league-leading squad.
The Buccaneers are monitoring Stellenbosch star Jayden Adams amid Mamelodi Sundowns’ interest, who are known to have their pick of the bunch.
However, with Jose Riveiro’s side ticking in front of a fan base that shadows the Brazilian’s support, Orlando Pirates is becoming the prized destination – who doesn’t want nearly half the country cheering you on?
As per transfermarkt, the 23-year-old is valued at around R18.8 million, a figure Pirates are apparently tempted to match.
Patrick Maswanganyi on the way out?
Orlando Pirates leader Patrick Maswanganyi is rumoured to be wanting a move to Europe after his Stars of Africa Academy mentor, Farouk Khan, said, “I can tell you now Tito is ready for Europe.”
Before adding that “even himself as a player, he really wants to play there. You know if Pirates can allow him to go then it won’t benefit only Pirates from the sale but also the player himself and the country. He could have stayed longer in Portugal, but he was impatient that time,
“You know many players from Brazil, Argentina, and most other African countries use Portugal as a springboard to bigger leagues in Europe and he could have been patient then things could have worked out for him that time. But nothing is lost. He can still go now and make it big. He is ready for Europe.”
Although he wants the move, with the way Orlando Pirates are pushing for the title you can be sure it doesn’t happen in January.
