Molefi Monaisa (born 1971) is a renowned South African poet and actor. He has appeared in many television series but is best known for playing Ntate Wallet in SABC1 local drama series Skeem Saam.

The actor has been in acting for over fifteen years. Viewers love him for his talented display and his quotes. He has staked to the growth of the South African entertainment industry. 

Before appearing on television shows and films, he had performed in theater. He has become one of the movie legends of the country and beyond.

Molefi Monaisa was born in 1971 in Potchefstroom, North West, South Africa. He grew up in a humble family and wanted to study and practice medicine or law. Since the cost of studying medicine in school was high, his parents couldn’t send him to the university.

The actor was troublesome in primary school, so his teacher often punished him by sending him to join others in the school drama group.

Education

Monaisa went to high school and graduated. He studied dramatic arts in college because he loves art and theatre.

Career

After graduating from school, he delved into the South African showbiz. He started theatre performances and is a poet. He has dropped many poems. Many know him for his witty and thought-provoking lines, especially on Skeem Saam.

The actor has gifts in performing fictional roles in state plays, films, and television shows. He began to act in 2016 after making his first appearance in the SABC3 comedy series One Way, wherein he played Daniel Phute.

Monaisa a regular cast member of the SABC2 sitcom Konsternasie Oppie Stasie in 2009. He played the General Manager of Station Siyaya, Amos Tshabalala.

In 2011, he played Wallet in the SABC1 youth drama series Skeem Saam. Molefi has been contributing to the entertainment industry since he joined. He is also a poet and often drops lines and quotes.

Smokey was the role he played in the SABC2 comedy drama. He appeared in the SABC2 drama series Hillside as Tommy “Hillfigga” Ditheko.

In Impilo: The Scam, he played Bra Moss and played Siya in Lockdown. Defense Attorney was his role in the SABC 1 and SABC 3 drama Society. He played Marcus Radebe in the action, adventure, and thriller series Strike Back.

Molefi Monaisa played Royal Healer in The Throne and Judge Jo Seseane in the SABC2 drama series Thola.
