Master KG (born Kgaogelo Moagi; 13 January 1996 in Tzaneen, Limpopo) is a South African musician and record producer.

He became popular with many music lovers for his album Skeleton Move. The album earned him an AFRIMMA Award for Best Artist/Group in the African Electro category.

He exploded into the international scene after dropping the hit song Jerusalema (2020) featuring Nomcebo Zikode.

The renowned producer grew up in Calais Village situated in Limpopo, South Africa.

He began to play with beats during his teenage days, at the age of thirteen (13). At that time, his uncle bought him a laptop which he used to play beats.

Master KG is dating Queen Lolly. The couple is expecting their first child. The global hit sensation says he doesn’t want the it.

According to City Press, Master KG is not planning to have a baby now and allegedly wants nothing to do with Queen Lolly and the child.

Career

He kicked off his music career after he connected with Deejay Maebela. They started to experiment with music software.

In 2016, he dropped his debut single titled ‘Situation’, after he signed to Open Mic Production, he dropped his first album ‘Skeleton Move’ (2018).

He has had collaborations with several popular artists in the country including Zanda Zakuza, and Makhadzi

As a singer, Master KG sings in Khelobedu, his local language. The language is a “non-Pedi” dialect of Northern Sotho.

He has held performances outside South Africa including in Zambia.

His song Skeleton Move was voted as Thobela FM’s Song of the Year in December 2018.

Jerusalema

The following year, in 2019, he collaborated with Nomcebo Zikode to drop the hit song ‘Jerusalema’.

The hit went viral online in mid-2020 and charted internationally. The remix of the song featured the Nigerian music star Burna Boy.

The song video was taken down on the online streaming site, YouTube on the 5th of August 2020. The next day it was restored.
