Luyolo Yiba (born in 1995 in King Williams Town, Eastern Cape) is a popular South African singer. He rose to fame after emerging winner in the music competition Idol South Africa.
The show is known to give birth to many successful musicians in the country. After appearing on the 15th edition of the show (Idol SA) Luyolo drew the attention of many music lovers and to top to his achievements he won.
Luyolo has continued to make his fans and supporters proud and lately, he released his first album.
In an interview session with YFM, Luyolo mentioned that he now stays in Johannesburg. He is prepared to make most of the fame that the competition generated him.

Idol SA
In November 2019, Luyolo Yiba emerged as the winner of the singing competition Idol SA. The 15th edition of the show was held at the Big Top Arena, in Ekurhuleni.
The singer received the R1,000,000, a Ford Fiesta, a recording deal from Gallo Records, among other prizes. The grand finale was a outstanding performance as Luyolo faced Sneziey and both of their performances were loved by fans.
Luyolo killed his performance after he sang Green Light by John Legend. Before entering the competition, Luyolo was a software developer.
Audition
Luyolo had to travel a long distance to sit among other hopefuls against the Idol South Africa audition. On his first audition, the now singer seemingly entertained the judges with his outstanding performance.
According to him, he wanted South Africa to know that he could sing and he performed ‘You & I’ by John Legend. He performed a John Legend song on his first audition and still a song by John Legend on his last day on the show.
Album
After receiving the prize in the Idol SA competition, fans were expecting songs from the singer after he promised to drop his first album.
Following the lockdown and Covid-19 pandemic affected the schedule to visit the studio for his recording sessions. In November 2020, Luyo finally released dropped his first album titled Ithemba.
