North Carolina’s Huntersville is where Combs was born. He was eight years old when they relocated to Asheville, North Carolina. He participated in chorus class, numerous school productions, and his church choir as a youngster, which once performed at Carnegie Hall. He performed with several vocal ensembles while attending “A. C. Reynolds High School” in Asheville. He also played solo at the renowned “Carnegie Hall” in Manhattan, New York City. He didn’t just concentrate on singing; he also played football in school. In childhood, through college, he started to deal with anxiety and, in particular, compulsive obsessive-compulsive disorder; he has stated that, although he can manage it better now, he still occasionally experiences obsessive thoughts.

He studied at Appalachian State University, where he first gained stage experience at the same club while working as a bouncer. Combs released his first extended play (EP), “The Way She Rides,” in February 2014. He released his second EP, “Can I Get an Outlaw,” on July 1, 2014.
