Liane Heyl (born October 3, 1967) is a South African actress and singer. She is best known for playing Boeboe in the television sitcom Vetkoek Paleis.

The actress has released several songs and established a school that teaches drama. She has shared some of her songs on various music applications.

Liane Heyl was born Liane de Villiers on October 3, 1967, in Johannesburg, South Africa. She has a twin sister called Genee.

Education

Villiers attended Hoërskool Menlopark. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in drama from the University of Cape Town. She also obtained a Higher Diploma in Speech and Drama in 1990 and a HED degree at the University of Pretoria in 1991.

Career

Liane Heyl starred as dim waitress Boeboe in the sitcom Vetkoek Paleis. She appeared in many other sitcoms like Molly & Wors, Ouboet & Wors, and Poena.

The actress appeared in many other television productions like Jozi Streets, Hart van Staal, and Rhythm City. She played Veronica in the Afrikaans soap opera 7de Laan, Die Sonkring, and Die Kasteel.

Aside from acting, she is a teacher and founded The Laine Heyl School of Drama. She teaches English and drama, and taught piano to students in Grades one to four at Trinity College in London in 2019.

Liane dropped a Christmas CD and DVD titled Kersfees vir die KIDS for children.

Heyl is a music artist with many songs, including Sterredroom. She bagged an Avanti award for Best supporting actress in a Comedy. She starred as a cancer patient in the Christian movie Hartsbegeertes in 2015.

The actress stars in Ouboet & Wors, which has been airing since October 2017. She has graced the covers of many magazines. 

In February 2018, she and her sister were on the cover of Vrouekeur Tydskrif. She has performed in musical shows. Heyl has been running her four drama studios since 2009. She was the casting director for x2 Mnet TV shows (2007 – 2009).
