Imaan Sulaiman Ibrahim is a businesswoman and politician from Nigeria. She previously worked as the Director-General of the National Agency for the Prevention of Human Trafficking (NAPTIP).
She was appointed Federal Commissioner of the National Commission for Refugees, Migrants, and Internally Displaced Persons in May 2021.
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu swore her in as Minister of State for Police Affairs in August 2023, making her the first female Minister of Police.

Imaan Sulaiman Ibrahim Early Life and Education
Imaan Sulaiman-Ibrahim grew up in Nigeria’s Abuja. Before going to Federal Government Girls College, Bwari, Abuja, for her secondary education, she completed her nursery and elementary schooling at Aruwa Nursery School in Abuja and Jabi Primary School (now LEA Primary School, Jabi).
She received her degree in sociology from the University of Abuja when she was 19 years old.
She graduated from Webster University with an MBA and an MA at twenty-one. She completed the required National Youth Service Corps at the Kaduna zonal office of NNPC.

Imaan Sulaiman-Ibrahim began her career at Abuja Geographic Information Systems, or AGIS, before relocating to the UK and working in management, business, and human resources before earning her SAP certification as an HCM consultant. After joining Mary Kay, Sulaiman-Ibrahim rose to the position of senior sales director.
In September 2019, Nassarawa State Executive Governor Engr. A. A. Sule named her to the Nasarawa State Economic Advisory Council.
She served as a special consultant on strategic communication to Chukwuemeka Nwajiuba, the state minister of education.
For six months, from December 2020 to May 2021, she served as the Director-General of the National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons.
She served as the National Commission for Refugees, Migrants, and Internally Displaced Persons’ Honorable Federal Commissioner.
She was nominated by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and sworn in as the Minister of State for Police Affairs in August 2023. She was moved to the position of Minister of Women Affairs on October 23, 2024, as part of a cabinet reorganization.

Imaan Sulaiman-Ibrahim was named director-general of the National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons (NAPTIP) by Nigerian President Muhammadu Buhari on December 1, 2020, to succeed Julie Okah-Donli for a four-year term.
She served as Director-General of NAPTIP for six months, from December 2020 to May 2021, after President Muhammadu Buhari decided to transfer to the National Commission For Refugees, Migrants, and Internally Displaced Persons Office as the Honourable Federal Commissioner.

Imaan Sulaiman-Ibrahim was born in Nigeria’s Plateau State city of Jos. She’s from Keffi, Nasarawa State, Nigeria. S. K. Danladi, her father, was an engineer and developer located in Abuja. Her mother is a teacher named Aishatu Sulaiman Danladi.
She is the second child in an eight-member household. Imaan Sulaiman-Ibrahim is married and has three children.
