Biography
Hannes van Wyk (born July 30, 1969) is a South African presenter, actor, and producer. He is best known for playing Krynauw du Boisson in the M-Net soap opera Egoli from 2001-2010.
The television personality is a presenter and has interviewed many celebrated personalities. He interviewed President Bill Clinton, Nelson Mandela, and Arnold Schwarzenegger.

Education
Hannes studied in school in his hometown in Aliwal North and was the head boy. He obtained a BA in drama at the University of the Free State. He has a BAEd, which he studied part-time.
Career
Van Wyk taught Drama and Afrikaans at Stellenbosch High School. While in the university, he played tennis for the school’s first team. He was the first elected-drama student to the student council.
After studying drama, he moved to work at the then-regional arts councils Sukovs and Truk.
At first, he focused on theatre work but later started making television appearances. His debut television role was in Manakwalanders and then in Towers.
With many television credits, he is best known for his role as Krynauw du Boisson in Egoli: Plek van Goud. He made his film debut in 2010 after playing Johan de Villiers in Susanna van Biljon.
Hannes van Wyk has been presenting the kykNET news program Kwêla since 2015. He played Kontrakteur in Binnelanders, Titus Sr. Tesselaar in danZ!, Adriaan in Die Boekklub, and Marko in Die Boland Moorde.
Van Wyk plays Stefan Jansen in the Police procedural drama Projek Dina and Mayor in the kykNET comedy Lui Maar Op, Belinda.
