The award-winning journalist is popular for being the presenter on the show Carte Blanche. She landed a job in the M-Net show in 2002 and worked for eighteen (18) years leaving the job in 2020.
She started to be a professional journalist on the radio during her study years at the University of Natal. She later started to present for Lotus FM as a freelance talk show host. Before which she was a presenter on music shows.
While she was a freelancer on radio, Devi landed a teaching stint and resigned after a year to move as a full-time talk show host on Lotus FM.
In 1998, she interviewed the former President of South Africa, Nelson Mandela.
