David Lawrence Schwimmer is an American actor and director born November 2, 1966, in New York City, United States. He was born to attorneys Arthur and Arlene Coleman-Schwimmer and had an older sister named Ellie Schwimmer.
After his mother’s successful career as a divorce lawyer, the family moved to Beverly Hills, where Schwimmer attended Beverly Hills High School. He later attended Northwestern University, earning a Bachelor of Arts in theatre and speech in 1988.
