Tom Glavine Children — Tom Glavine, an American aged 57 is a 2-time NL Cy Young Award-winning pitcher who was selected to the NL All-Star team 10 times and won 305 games during his 22-year career, mostly with the Atlanta Braves. He won a World Series Championship with the Braves in 1995.

Who are Tom Glavine’s Children?

Tom is a father to his five loving children, Amber Glavine, Jonathan Flaig, Peyton Glavine, Mason Glavine, and Kienan Glavine.

He had his first child and only daughter Amber with his ex-wife Carrie Ann Dobbins whom he was married to from 1992 to 1997. He’s a stepfather to Christine’s son Jonathan. Apart from that, Tom and his wife Christine have three sons together, Peyton Glavine, Mason Glavine, and Kienan Glavine. Peyton has followed in the footsteps of his father. He had a notable collegiate baseball career playing for Auburn University. Peyton is a graduate of Blessed Trinity in Roswell, Georgia.

In recognition of his talent, Peyton was selected by the Los Angeles Angels in the 37th round of the MLB draft.

Thomas Michael Glavine was born on March 25, 1966, in Concord, Massachusetts, and raised in Billerica, Massachusetts. He attended Billerica Memorial High School where he lettered in both hockey and baseball and was a four-year member of the honor roll and National Honor Society. He was named Merrimack Valley’s Most Valuable Player in hockey and led the baseball team to the Division I North Title and the Eastern Massachusetts Championship. Tom graduated with honors in 1984 and was later inducted into the Billerica Memorial/Howe High School Athletic Hall of Fame.

Tom Glavine was selected in both the 1984 NHL Draft (4th round, 69th overall) by the Los Angeles Kings and the 1984 MLB Amateur Draft (2nd round) by the Atlanta Braves and ultimately decided to play baseball. He made his debut with the Braves in August of 1987 but had an up-and-down first couple of years in the majors. But in 1991, he turned his career around and set the tone as one of the best pitchers of the 1990s. Glavine recorded 164 victories during the decade, coming in second only to teammate Greg Maddux’s 176 for a pitcher in the National League.

Glavine played with the Atlanta Braves until 2002 becoming a World Series champion when the Braves beat the Cleveland Indians in the 1995 World Series. Glavine was named the World Series MVP.

After slumping in the back half of the 2002 season and underwhelming play in two postseason starts, the Atlanta Braves declined to guarantee Tom Glavine’s third year on his contract. So Glavine signed with the New York Mets where he would play until 2007. He struggled in his first year with the Mets but returned to form for the rest of his tenure with the team. In November of 2007, Tom Glavine returned to Atlanta where he was placed on the disabled list for the first time in his career. He played his last game on August 14, 2008. He signed a one-year deal to return in 2009 but was released by the Braves as he was completing a rehab assignment. Tom Glavine officially retired as an Atlanta Brave in 2010. He had his No. 47 jersey retired later that year.
