PAT CUMMINS CELEBRATES AUSTRALIA’S WIN

The Australian captain, Pat Cummins took to social media on Sunday to share photos of his team lifting the trophy after winning the Cricket World Cup.

TimesLIVE reports that Australia’s triumph began with the ball, after Pat Cummins’s decision to bowl after winning the toss.

The publication adds that Cummins’s decision was based on dew settling in after sunset, which would speed up the pace off the pitch and also nullify the threat of the India spinners.

The captain also needed his bowlers and fielders to be as precise and aggressive as they had been in the opening passage of the semifinal in Kolkata.

Cummins and his team have won the title for a record-extending sixth time.
