Kaizer Chiefs head coach Cavin Johnson wants his team to start bossing matches and intimidating opponents.

Johnson told iDiski Times what his mission at Kaizer Chiefs was in a recent interview.

He says that he is out to break the pattern set in the early season.

Kaizer Chiefs have won three in a row under Johnson and some are calling for him to get the full-time coach job.

“You remember when the league started people were bullying Chiefs, and remember that’s the cloth I was talking about, we need to make sure we get to that level, and getting there is major, it will take us a while to get there,” Johnson told iDiski Times.

“That is the cohesion you need to have in the team with the magnitude of Kaizer Chiefs, we spotted it, I see it as well, we need to get there [bullying] teams but to get there is difficult, like I said we were bullied at the start of the season.

“Now after three games, maybe the bullying is over, maybe we going to get more confident, based on what we do on the training pitch.”

Does Johnson deserve the job?

Despite having just been the team’s manager for a brief period of time, Johnson has stabilised the group following a rough start to the new season under former manager Molefi Ntseki.

Amakhosi have improved to sixth place in the league rankings after winning four of their last five Premiership matches.

Chiefs trail leaders of the DStv Premiership, Mamelodi Sundowns, by just 11 points. Further they are only six points behind SuperSport United in second place.
