Kaizer Chiefs management have reportedly made two decisions on two players, while seven others are waiting for big decisions before June 30. The list includes high-profile names like Itumeleng Khune and Njabulo Ngcobo.

NINE KAIZER CHIEFS PLAYERS FACE UNCLEAR FUTURE AT NATURENA

Looking at the current squad list and each player’s contracts, no less than seven players are in the final three months of their deals with Kaizer Chiefs. Why is the club leaving it so late when Bruce Bvuma, Brandon Petersen and Nkosingiphile Ngcobo signed their new deals in January? Mhhh. Something is up.

Meanwhile, below is the list of seven players facing ending contracts on June 30. Among the names is the legendary Khune. The 36-year-old Kaizer Chiefs legend signed his ‘final’ deal at the start of the season to mark a remarkable 20 years at Amakhosi. Reports say Khune is tipped to become the club’s goalkeeper coach.

The list also includes some of Kaizer Chiefs supporters’ favourites like Happy Mashiane and Njabulo Ngcobo.

TWO PLAYERS TO LEAVE ON LOAN?

Meanwhile, Kaizer Chiefs have reportedly taken a decision to loan out to struggling youngsters: Samkelo Zwane and Sabelo Radebe.

. Zwane has only made seven appearances this season, while his fellow struggling teammate Radebe has managed a mere two appearances for Kaizer Chiefs. According to a new report, the 22-year-old Zwane and Radebe, 24, will be released from Amakhosi to seek increased game-time elsewhere on loan.

“These two boys have struggled to break into the first team’s since they were promoted and for but they are the ones for the future for [Kaizer] Chiefs,” a source close to the club told the Citizen. “The club values both of them, but they will not get any better sitting on the bench hence a decision has been made to loan them out,” the source added.

KAIZER CHIEFS’ STARTING CENTRAL MIDFIELD OPTIONS:

  1. Yusuf Maart, 28 years old with 26 appearances
  2. Edson Castillo, 29 years old with 25 appearances
  3. Sibongiseni Mthethwa, 29 years old with 13 appearances
  4. Siyethemba Sithebe, 31 years old with four appearances.
